1. The application
LucentNote is a notes and teleprompter app for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Some features differ by device. For example, Mac provides transparent windows while iPhone and iPad provide Picture in Picture.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use LucentNote on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the App Store rules that apply to your download.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, interfere with, misuse or unlawfully redistribute the application. Any open-source release of source code is governed separately by the license included with that source code.
3. Free use and LucentNote Pro
The free version includes exactly one note. A fresh install already contains that note as the editable welcome note. The complete rich-text toolbar and Prompt experience are available on that note. Creating a second note requires Pro.
LucentNote Pro unlocks additional notes, version history, duplication and appearance options. The features and current subscription price shown in the app before purchase are the ones included with your subscription.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Available duration, localized price, trial terms and renewal information are shown before purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your Apple account settings within the period stated by Apple.
Apple manages billing, cancellations and refunds. Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it forms part of these Terms. You can review it at apple.com/legal.
5. When Pro ends
Ending Pro does not delete or hide your notes. The most recently edited user note remains editable. Additional notes remain readable and exportable but can become read-only, and new note creation is blocked until Pro access returns.
6. Your content and backups
You retain ownership of the notes and files you create or select. You are responsible for maintaining any backups you need. Secure Notes can add local encryption, but no software or storage device can guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted or become unavailable.
The current release stores a separate local library on each device and does not sync notes between devices. Before deleting the app, resetting a device or replacing hardware, export any content you need to preserve.
7. External websites and files
Prompt can display a website, PDF, photo or camera feed selected by you. We do not control third-party websites or their availability, security, accuracy or privacy practices. You are responsible for having the right to access and display the content you select.
Do not use LucentNote to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights or platform rules, or to display content that could harm a device or another person.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue features to maintain security, compatibility or product quality. We do not promise that every feature will remain available on every operating-system version or device.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, LucentNote is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose or error-free performance. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of LucentNote, including loss of data, opportunity or profit. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Governing terms
These Terms are governed by applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections in your country or region. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
